KruShan Foundation Presentations
Saving African penguins starts with storytelling, and we’re on a mission to make their voices impossible to ignore. From gripping interviews to unforgettable talks at schools, libraries, churches, retirement villages, and community groups, we bring the urgency, the passion, the humor, and the hope. If you’re looking for a speaker who’ll light up a room (or Zoom) and leave your audience inspired and ready to act, we’re ready to some noise for the penguins. Let’s talk!
Past Presentations
We’re passionate about African penguins, and we know how to tell their story in a way that sticks. Whether in person or online, our presentations blend humor, heart, and hard-hitting facts to leave audiences energized and inspired. At our first talk with the Wimberley Birding Society, the room was laughing one moment and reflecting the next. (These birds are critically endangered, after all.) Attendees called it fun, moving, and eye-opening. One thing’s certain: we don’t do boring.
Special Event-Screening of David Attenborough’s Ocean documentary (free): December 3, 2025

We ended 2025 with a heartfelt gift from Shannon and Kruger du Plessis, Co-founders of KruShan Foundation, to our local communities of Wimberley, Woodcreek, and greater Hays County.
After seven decades of filming every aspect of the natural world, Attenborough delivers his greatest message of hope in a spectacular new film, “Ocean with David Attenborough.” Through breathtaking sequences of coral reefs, kelp forests, and the open ocean, Attenborough explains why a healthy ocean is essential for keeping the entire planet stable and flourishing.
